Welcome to our cabin! This family cabin sits overlooking Thunder Lake, it has a deeded access about 50-60 yards to a private dock, and hard sand shoreline. This nicely remodeled 3-bedroom, 2 bath home features 3 gas fireplaces, full lakeside deck, large yard, and plenty of parking. The deck is a perfect spot for that first morning cup of coffee while watching the sunrise or to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening while listening to the sound of the Minnesota loons.
This property offers your group a perfect place to getaway from these uncertain, stressful times. Excellent internet for those of you that work from home and/or students that schools are in remote learning.
Thunder Lake, one of the premiere lakes in Northern Minnesota, is a 1346 acres lake with 16 miles of shoreline. Thunder Lake is known for its crystal clear waters, clarity is 16-17 feet, great fishing, with 2 islands and a sandbar.
During the fall, this area is perfect for fishing, 4-wheeling, and hunting. Also you can enjoy hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails for a winter getaway.
This property features a king size bed in the master bedroom with a gas fireplace, a queen size bed in each of the other two bedrooms. Summary: We had a wonderful stay. Cabin is super clean and has everything you need. Our kids loved all the games, kayaks, and paddle board. Dock is shorter than what’s pictured, but worked great for tying up our boat and hanging out on during the day. Loved being in the bay as it was quieter and calmer on the windy days. Highly recommend this cabin and would definitely stay again!

Summary: Beautiful place to stay. We love staying in northern Minnesota. This was the Best place we have ever stayed. Colleen keeps her property so well maintained inside and out. With all the rain they have had this year we thought our entire stay was going to be indoors because the mosquitos would be so bad. In the 6 days we stayed there we did not encounter any bugs. She has the yard sprayed and this makes the trip all the better. We saw deer, turkeys, eagles, osprey, grouse and you can listen to the loons throughout the day and night. Can't say enough about this place. Thank You Colleen

Summary: Overall our stay was great! The place was clean and had everything we needed for the week! We were also able to dock our boat which was convenient. The hosts were super nice as well. One thing to be mindful of is the smallest bedroom does not have AC. It does have a large fan which was handy. The weather was cool enough all week that window open with the fan on worked just fine for us. The lake is great for boating and kayaking. The bonfire pit was also excellent. They provided all the wood too! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some lake time.

Summary: My family of 5 stayed in this cabin for 8 days and it was the most peaceful cabin we have stayed in our 14 trips to Minnesota. The hostess was extremely good to communicate with and the cleanliness of the cabin and the property was second to none. I would highly recommend staying at this cabin

Summary: The host was quick to respond and check in was really easy. Everything was well stocked. The outside area was fabulous for relaxing. The small trek to the lake down the hill wasn’t bad at all. We tied our boat to the dock while we were there with no problems at all. The dock is new and very nice - it is short if you are tying your dock to it.

Summary: Cute cozy cabin that made it feel like home away from home. It was the perfect family summer vacation for a family of five with three teenage children. The basketball hoop was awesome. We loved all the yard games, puzzles, books, games and so much more this cabin had to offer. We lived thunder lake. Clear swimming for the kiddos. Wildlife could have remained hidden (snake, fox) but loved to see the hummingbirds. Caught lots of fish and brought home some 2. We rented a pontoon from wheeler marine for the week which was so nice to have. We loved the sand bar for swimming. We watched movies in the evening time. Fire also a few nights. We woke up to a beautiful sunrise with great views from the cabin. We brought our own kayaks but there was one at the house for use. We also loved the paddle boat! We brought our ATV and loved that the trails were so close. Would recommend this cabin for a family with teenage kiddos. Hill was the only obstacle but for our family it didn’t really matter. It was a great week!
